What is the GIRLS' FRIENDSHIP CLUB?

Girls’ Friendship Club is an outdoor multi-sensory group that prepares girls to engage in positive social interactions at school, at home, and at play. Together, we will:

  • Learn conversational and play skills through group activities

  • Foster meaningful friendships

  • Provide tools and strategies to further social growth at home and at school

When is FRIENDSHIP CLUB?

Girls’ Friendship Club takes place weekly for six weeks on Thursday afternoons from 4:30pm - 5:20pm. Admission is rolling and depends on availability.

Is my child the right fit for the FRIENDSHIP CLUB?

Children with social participation challenges but also welcome to children who are not currently in OT. Groups are made up of same-age peers. Your child does not need to be currently in OT to benefit from this group. Admission depends on availability, individual needs, and group dynamics.

Where is FRIENDSHIP CLUB?

Girls’ Friendship Club takes place at Hiller Therapy, an indoor/outdoor OT therapy studio located at 1137 S Point View Street in Los Angeles. Because we use both indoor and outdoor spaces during camp, please dress for the weather, and plan to get messy. We strongly encourage wearing socks (for inside) and closed-toed shoes (for outside). Please send your child with sunscreen already applied.

How many kids are in FRIENDSHIP CLUB?

Groups are limited to 6-8 children. This helps up ensure at least a 2:1 student-to-teacher ratio. That way your child receives individualized attention while reaping the benefits of an exciting group experience.

Does my child need to be in OT to participate?

No way! These groups are designed both for children with identified needs and those that are looking for a fun way to strengthen skills. Our groups are thoughtfully designed to meet and celebrate our different strengths, interests, and abilities.

 Who leads FRIENDSHIP CLUB?

All groups are led by a pediatric occupational therapist along with a Masters-level occupational therapy student and a team of talented assistants. Together, we offer a creative, collaborative approach to writing instruction that combines extensive experience with Social Thinking® and a therapeutic approach that affirms neurodiversity. This team approach to learning ensures individualized attention with a 2:1 ratio.

How much does FRIENDSHIP CLUB cost?

This group costs $800 per 6-week session. After your child has completed a 6-week session, you may continue your enrollment on a monthly basis.
