What is the OT CAMP?
OT Camp is a multi-sensory camp designed to support children in developing essential
school readiness and play skills for success at school, at home, and at play. Together, we will:
-
Engage in group activities in a supportive learning environment
-
Learn how to play in a kind, age-appropriate, and fun manner
-
Provide tools and strategies to further social growth at home and at school informed by the social learning theory.
When is OT CAMP?
OT Camp takes place every spring and summer. Camp runs from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Spaces for each session are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If the session you select is already full, you can be added to the waitlist.

Is my child the right fit for the OT CAMP?
Children with social participation challenges are welcome. Your child does not need to be currently in OT to benefit from this group.

Where is OT CAMP?
OT camp takes place at Hiller Therapy, an indoor/outdoor OT therapy studio located at 1137 S Point View Street in Los Angeles. Because we use both indoor and outdoor spaces during camp, please dress for the weather, and plan to get messy. We strongly encourage wearing socks (for inside) and closed-toed shoes (for outside). Please send your child with sunscreen already applied. We also know that sometimes weather can be tricky. If there is rain, excessive heat, or poor air quality, we will plan to move our groups inside and take lots of breaks in the air conditioning (every 30 minutes). If the air quality exceeds safe standards or the heat goes above 95 degrees, we use our indoor spaces.
How many kids are in OT CAMP?
Each camp session is capped at 10 children. This helps ensure a minimum of a 3:1 student-to-teacher ratio. That way, your child receives individualized attention while reaping the benefits of an exciting group experience. OT camp will be filled on a first come first serve basis. If the session is full, we will reach out to let you know about alternative options.
Does my child need to be in OT to participate?
No way! This camp is designed both for children with identified needs and those that are looking for a fun way to strengthen skills. Our groups are thoughtfully designed to meet and celebrate our different strengths, interests, and abilities.
Who leads OT CAMP?
All groups are led by a pediatric occupational therapist along with Masters and Doctorate-level occupational therapy students. This team approach to care ensures individualized attention with at least a 3:1 student-to-teacher ratio.

How much does OT CAMP cost?

Each week-long spring break camp session costs $750.

What about Regional Center?
While we are not "vendored" with any regional centers, some clients who receive these services can access our programs with "respite" funds. Some services can be accessed through the Self-Determination Program (SDP).

Can I get a superbill for insurance?
We are not in-network for health insurance. For children that qualify, a superbill will be provided for you to submit to PPO insurance plans. Please reach out to your insurance to find out about reimbursement for OT. This group is billed under a group code (CPT 97150-GO), and an ICD-10 may be assigned when appropriate, based on your child's strengths and challenges. Superbills are issued monthly, after the session. When you register your child for the group, please let us know if you would like to receive a superbill.
